So what can be said about the Big Apple that hasn't been written a million times.
I enjoyed the 24/7 life style and the assortment of people who I met on a daily basis. The bus stop was two minutes from my door and a fast ten minutes to work downtown.
I was never one for fancy stuff but learned real fast that the city was a very trendy place and actually stepped up a bit with fashion. I enjoyed the big department stores and all the fab sales that were always going on. I also remember the after Thanksgiving sales and the crowds of people pushing and shoving to save a dollar.
City politics have always interested me. My political party has been the Green Party and I have supported them for several years. I worked on the Mayor's election committee in my early days in the city but didn't care much for politics and returned to the quiet life which better suited my wants and desires.
My best friends in the city were Tommy and Windy York who were natives. I met them day one and we had an instant bond. They will retire next month and promised to come out to visit me on the Farm.
I am thinking of changing the name of the Farm to the Pat Baeske Circle B or something like that. Kinda cute isn't it.
